FRIACO fiasco

i have raised another ticket about this,
using the 08089, i keep getting,"the number you have dialled is engaged", can PLUSNET give an answer to this without the spin
or must we believe that you are on OVERLOAD and the message is TRUE

Please bear in mind that the service is contended and at peak times it may take a few attempts to get connected. Never the less we have received your ticket and this is being looked into.

Does contention mean you get busy tone i.e no free port's or does it effect bandwidth after you get connectedHuh thanks for a reply

Once you are connected, your data rate should remain relatively constant. Contention only affects your ability to connect in the first place and as you quite rightly say, is based on the number of available ports.
