Emails been blocked?

Last week I was hit by a spyware/virus attack and had to delete all my cookies which meant re-logging into all the sites I use. Sadly some of them don't have the passwords I remember so used the "forgot password" links. Most of them worked fine and I'm logged in again ok.

Sadly a few password emails haven't arrived and I've been told that certain sites are banned. Why is this? Shouldn't it be upto us what we receive? None of them are illegal.

Is there a way to get them as all password reminders are sent to one email address and can't normally be changed so any help please.

Thanx Dan Wink

(Sorry if it's in the wrong place and I did search but couldn't find anything.)

PN do not ban websites.

The problem will be the sending mail servers for some reason not being allowed to send emails to certain domains or mailboxes due to spam activity or some other restrictions that they themselves impose.

Sometimes peoples mailbox or PlusNets mail servers get put on blocking lists which the sending mail servers check before sending emails out.

Thanx for the reply. Ah so it's not PN's fault but the sites themselves?

I got this failure notice :-

It appears that the DNS operator for empornium.us
has installed an invalid MX record with an IP address
instead of a domain name on the right hand side.

If that helps.
