Hi,

The expected customer impact refers to any impact during the maintenance itself, not expected impact after the work has been completed.

So what's the expected impact after the work has been completed? Smiley

Ellacoya Maintenance - Thursday 27/10

Hi,

The changes being made are more for the reporting than for anything else. At the moment some traffic just gets labelled as "other tcp" and "other udp" some of the changes will help us to break this down a bit better.

We're also preparing the way for the Usenet changes with the first part of that work being rolled ready to be made live when the next part is ready.

Great more throttling to make the service even more dire than it already is Sad

I wouldn't mind the P2P traffic shaping if it meant my interactive SSH sessions were getting more responsive, not less.....

Looks like they've decided the current usage is unacceptable and are going for a zero tolerance approach.

Shockedops: Probably won't be a great deal of difference for a lot of people though :x

Hi,

SSH traffic shouldn't be affected in any way at all as it fits within the silver traffic queue not bronze.

In order to roll out the changes to improve the speeds for Usenet traffic we need to make changes to the Ellacoya equipment and to the Usenet platform. The Ellacoya stuff has been set up and just now needs turning on when the necessary changes to the usenetplatform are ready.
