Hi there.

What issues are you seeing. Are you getting any error messages.

I am running a few checks this end but any errors you are seeing would be helpful.

We are also having email authentication poblems.
We have 2 user mailboxes defined. One we have no problem with, authentication happens quickly. The other intermittently takes a long time to authenticate. Occasionally get message from Outlook Express saying pop server hasn't responded for 60 seconds.
Any ideas?

Hi there,

We had particularly high load on the collection servers for around 20 minutes but this is now back to normal, and you should no longer be seeing timeouts.

If you try it now there should be no problems.

Oh no it isn't Evil . It's playing silly beggars again - authorisation timeouts. I've retrieved mail from one of my accounts but not the other 3. Grrrr - when are PlusNet going to get the basics like email right instead of re-arranging the Titanic's deckchairs by changing the "bundles"?

E-Mail playing up again here as well,
The message I get is:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.plus.net', Server: 'mail.plus.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F



This is getting past the point of been funny. Come on Plusnet get it sorted.

Bear in mind that PlusNet are currently in the process of transferring everyone's e-mail accounts from one storage system to another, a process which will force a temporary loss of e-mail service to the customer as their accounts are transferred. Have a quick look around Service Status and you'll see various posts about this.

Could these issues be allowing incoming mail but not outgoing mail? We had to do a clean install earlier today - and after configuring OE we're just absolutely flummoxed as to why emails come in but can't be sent.
