E-mail porn Spam,

in the last few days ive started to get e-mail spam for porn websites with titles like:
"Wild sluuts!doubleppenetrated sweet baabe c*um_lloadedtype"
Miiles of maanmeat diisappear in a sllitlist
and so on.

Is it possible to stop e-mails such as this clogging up my inbox?
The e-mails appear to have been coming from reputable places such as lincoln aquatics - who, after a bit of investigation, sell swimming pools, and the University of Edith cowan, Australia, a place that hires out pool tables, jukeboxes, arcade machines etc in Germany and other reputable places.
Would i be able to complain to the places that the e-mails have originated from to stop them?

E-mail porn Spam,

rtmtft, the same has happened to me, it started three days ago and like yours the reply e-mail address is taken from reputable sites.

I use Mozilla thunderbird as an e-mail application and have started to train it using the mark as Junk option. It it now starting to recognise these e-mails as junk and puts them straight into a junk folder. When it gets it right 99% of the time you can set it to delete junk before you see it.

I have also activated the spam option on plusnet but so far this has not had any effect at all.

I would also like to know where they have picked up my e-mail address from. I have started to code the first part of my e-mail address to link to any website I register with to help track if/where my e-mail address has been passed on to.

Never reply to any of these e-mails and set your e-mail programme to never send a reply reciept.

E-mail porn Spam,

You must have used your Plusnet email address somewhere on the net?

I have never used my plusnet email address anywhere and I don't get one spam email in my inbox.

Spammers, nowadays, have lots of tricks up their sleeves to gather emails. Whether they buy them from reputable companies or steal them.

Most of the time they are sent blindly. Hopefully expecting you to try and 'unsubscribe' from them which unfortunatly leads the spammer to find out that the email address is actually real and then sends out more junk to you.

I personnaly use Gmail for all my emails because the spam filter is so good.

Could be that someone you know who has your address stored on their computer has an infected machine and the virus or whatever has picked up your address along with others.

And knowing how it is a 'sue culture' who would want to live there?! No, that seems a very harsh option to me and not where we want to go at all I reckon.

E-mail porn Spam,

We will continue to get spam email until the proposed paid-for email system is introduced.

People are "charged" one penny to send an email, but the recipient can waive the charge.

So every email from your family, friends, customers, suppliers and trusted senders are waived the charge but the spammer sending out 2,000,000 emails will have to pay £20,000 to send it (and he is unlikely to get any email fees waived).

Microsoft are amongst a consortium proposing it and I for one can't wait!

All of a sudden, I am getting the same issue. When I checked my e-mail this morning, I had close to 15 or so "failure" messages, and they are continuing to trickle through every so often.

Spam Porn aswell

I have just come back from an awesome holiday in florida to find 70+ spam emails all of which are the exact same as being described. What's going on? has plusnet dropped there anti spam feature or something because I have never had spam of any kind of spam until now and it soes seem a bit strange that as soon as I see spam I check the forums and the top topic is this :? Coincidence or whatHuh?

E-mail porn Spam,

i want to punch the morons that sends these spam emails in the face until they say enough, i wont do it anymore.

E-mail porn Spam,

Im with bumzig on this - I dont use the plusnet address and I get no spam.

I have domains hosted elsewhere with mail redirected to my plusnet accounts, I get spam but only addressed to these other domains.

The spoofed addresses are just one of the techniques. I had an address on one of my domains used as a return address - got hundreds of mails. Tracked the source IP and complained to the isp (london based) they denied it was one of their customers but the stuff stopped within hours of my making the phone call.
