Domain Name "Transfers In"

I've have just spent the best part of 2 weeks getting BT to change the IPS tag for my domain to FORCE9 - this was finally done today. I've successfully transferred it in through the PlusNet Domain portal this evening. How long would it normally take to for the domain name to be fully active and configurable. I have a business with no email service at the moment BT had advised 2 days to change the tag - so I had commited to the business that I'd have everything migrated over the xmas break - I'm a week behind shedule now and getting a bit frantic.

The domain is a .co.uk domain - the WHOIS is showing FORCE9 as the IPS tag now.

DNS changes usually take between 24 and 48 hours to propogate through the root servers so that is usually the timeframe when your site is accessable again.

checked this morning - domain is listed as registered and hosted. Does pose one question though... if PlusNet can do this over night why does it take BT Business Broadband 10 working days to change an IPS tag?

Thanks - am very pleased with the level of service thus far.

I think it is standard BT policy to take at least 10 days to do anything
