Does a failed broadband fault check auto. start a ticket?

My ADSL won't connect reliably at all today so after trying the usual reboots, plug into test socket, etc. I used the portal's broadband fault checker which came back and said the line had failed and that a fault was likely. It concludes with the line "Your support request has been escalated to the correct team for review".

My question is do I need to do anything more to progress this or has this effectively raised a ticket for me automatically to get BT to do whatever they now do to diagnose the fault?
