Did I miss an announcement. What nntp server?

beta.usenet.plus.net isn't resolving whereas news.plus.net is.

What should we be using as the default 'catchall' server?

O yes they did....

Service Status: New Usenet Platform Launch - Thursday July 7

And of course if you were receiving status updates by email then you would not have missed it. See the usertools link in my sig for details.

...hmmmm

I knew about the upgrades that have been taking place and had previously read posts where use of "beta.usenet.plus.net" had been recommended as the one which would 're-direct' to take account of any changes being made.

Perhaps some changes that were made a while ago finally took effect yesterday - all I know is that in the morning it worked and in the afternoon it didn't.

I'll look at the email updates now - thanks once again Peter.

(Edit - I've subscribed to your service status updates now. I can't find anything in the archive that would have told me that the 'address' I was using would stop working though.)
