Delayed email delivery - server problems?

I've just received an email that was sent over 24 hours ago from another Plusnet user. Are the email servers having problems again?

Delayed email delivery - server problems?

Hi,

Apologies for the late reply, looking at the mail queues for last week:

http://www.plus.net/support/network_performance/mail_queues.shtml

there was a spike in the queues on Thursday which is probably what caused this to be delayed. Queues are back at more normal levels now.
N/A

lost or late emails

I received an email from a friend who is a plus net customer on Sunday 18th March. She sent it on 1st of March.
I seem to get odd emails, then batches of out of date ones.
I am now concerned if my emails are actually getting delivered.

What is going on ?Huh

That's very strange, can you post the headers from the mail or raise a ticket and we can look into why this happened. There could be something wrong with your mailbox or there could be some other reason for the delay.

I have looked at the email, which SAYS it was delivered on 1st March. I got it on the 18th. I also got one the same day sent on the 12th March, but again recieved on the 18th.
I have just had an email from a friend today who says my default email was returned to her twice. She managed to send it OK the third time.

Something is wrong some where.

Hi,

I don't suppose you can get a copy of the bounceback your friend received? That would help in find the cause of the problem.
