Costs to move house?

Hi, just about to sign my brother in law up to BB+ and got a quick couple of questions...

He has just moved back up to Chesterfield and is currently looking for a house whilst living with the folks.

If he signs up for broadband and gets it set up at the folks house - what costs will be incurred if he finds a house and wants to move the broadband to it.

Many thanks,

Chris.

Also - whats the difference between a monthly and an annual contract?

Its been 4 years since I signed up, or helped anyone else sign up, so Im a bit clueless to the pros/cons! LOL

Costs to move house?

annual means of course your stuck in 12months.. but if your new to broadband they give modems and odd thing to make it so you dont pay activation 50pound +VAT.

if you have broadband already then migrate then no harm to go on 1month so if you ever want to leave.

if the house your going to doesnt have a broadband connection then tis 50pounds +vat....

and takes longer then a normal broadband connection to set up

It all depends!

You can opt to have Plusnet pay the charges for moving house, this works in a similar way to the *free* activation and *free* modem offer - basically the cost of all these bits and pieces is paid off by PN on your behalf over a 3 (help?) year period. If you leave before then, they'll ask you to pay the remainder.

If you choose the *free* (think it might also be referred to as deferred payment) option for house move, you must still pay £5.88 admin fee.

If you pay up front its just under £60
