Contemplating a move to PAYG from Premiere - Questions first

Hi All,

I'm currently paying £21.99 a month for a premiere (!) service and like most people I'm thoroughly fed up with the download speeds for P2P and Newsgroups. I understand that I should get a better experience if I switch to PAYG but I have a couple of questions first if anyone can help me.

1) PN currently host a website for me. I assume this won't change

2) Will my fixed IP address change ?

3) I assume I'll lose my connection for a brief time but how long ?

4) Anything else I should know ?

Basically I want to be able to use newsgoups and P2P at a reasonable speed and I'm happy to use PAYG especially as most of the stuff I do is off peak

Thanks for any help you can give me

1) No change

2) I don't believe so, but you need someone from PN to confirm

3) About 10 minutes after you you have confirmed the account change disconnect/reconnect and the change is complete - providing the included allowance you have chosen mean you are paying the same or more than currently. After a month you can drop the allowance. This also avoids the £14.99 regrade fee.

4) See the How To I posted linked from my signature.

Ah, but how would you know what the entire audience wants to know? You are only one person Smiley

That is true, perhaps others have a foot fetish - just to satisfy them why don't you post a picture of your right foot in a pink trainer

In the old MetroNet days James was famous for having a pair of pink trainers - since gone to the trainer heaven in the sky I believe

Yep. I had a pair of "magenta" trainers which looked suspiciously pink. They fell apart in a pub about a year back and subsequent attempts to glue them together were fruitless.
