Contacting Plusnet and 8 Meg

I have moved from being a fan of Plusnet to a very frustrated and angry critic. I want the fastest connection speeds available for the price I'm paying. I was expecting to be upgraded by about this time and so I had a look at the announcements posted in this forum expecting to be reassured. Not so.

Apparently there was an announcement in July (I never noticed it) inviting us to join a list for those wanting an upgrade. Now I see that there are 15000 folk on that list and that it will take around 15 weeks to get to that happy soul standing at number 15000. I can't even find this list to join it!

How do you contact Plusnet to discuss this?

By phone you find yourself being pulled every deeper into an everymore branching tunnel where you eventually reach a dead end. Here you are told that your question cannot be asked; you're directed to their premium rate phone number.

By email: Help Adviser tells me that email is not secure and to use Help Adviser instead. No further comment needed!

If someone from Plusnet gets this far down my rant please note and act on:

1. Get me on whatever list I need to be on to get me the service for which I am paying.

2. If some other list materialises get me on that as well.

3. FOR 1 TO 1000 GOTO 1 ELSE REFUND

I am not a loyal customer. The only thing stopping me from migrating to another company is the inconveience of changing my email address. I suspect that I am not alone.

if you went to jump the queue for MaxDSL regrades then you need to add yourself to the Queue Jumping list which is growing everyday! if you go to http://www.plus.net/wizard/index.html and press my broadband connection and then I would like an 8mb upgrade and press send. This will add you to the list!

Thanks for the quick reply.

When I click on the "My Broadband Connection" I get to a page but ther is no choice there. I only have the Plusnet Heading across the top and the panel down the lefthand side.
Still need help I'm afraid.

Update.

I've just had a phone call from Nigel Wood who is a Technical Architect with Plusnet. He has put me on the list and has promised to check my progress in a fornight's time.

He was decent kind of a lad and he even let me vent my spleen for a few minutes.
