Constant disconnections

Tonight, ever since I connected I've been experiencing constant disconnects. Not only that, but it takes anywhere between 3 and 10 times to reconnect again.

Am I the only one suffering this shoddy service?

Disconnect your ADSL cable completely for 1 hour and see if that helps.

I am very serious. Leaving the connection off for that length of time will reset the ADSL connection at the exchange and remove any stale sessions that may exist on the BT network.

It has solved similar problems in the past. In fact on the PUG forum this evening, a user did exactly that after getting similar loss of sync and it solved their problem.

I'm not losing synch though, my modem remains synched but it's just the connection that drops.

I'll give it a go though, guess I'll go watch 'Torchwood' for an hour then.
