The last ISP I was with, the forum consists mainly of light hearted banter, people posting interesting web sites, that kind of thing, this forum is just complaints about a rubbish service, complaints that are well founded.

There's only so much patience you can have and now I'm another looking for an altenrnative ISP, and what do Force 9 do, do they try and reassure people , do they take the bull by the horns and admit they've got it wrong, nahhhhhhhhhhhhh course they don't, they post pathetic excuses when they can be bothered, they hit customers with call charges for customer services, thats really the way to build a loyal, happy customer base isn't.

I haven't bothered to get in touch with Customer services, a) because I can't be bothered to wait for ever, only to get some one who just tells me to do a BT speed test, and b) because I've had enough off reading the same old thing on the forum, so its bye bye Force 9

Maybe, but the thing is Force 9 didn't start of with a good customer satisfaction level, so any thing else that goes wrong just makes people more likely to chuck it in.

Oddly enough on my old ISP's forum, there's no mention of speed issues since the upgrades started Wink

MAX = MIN

SInce i got moved to max DSL my Download speeds have gradually been getting worse and they can be as low as 100kbps or as hight as 4000kbps. As for my upload i am luky if i recieve 256kbps. 3 weeks ago i was on 448kbps(they have put me on the wrong account as i should be getting 832kbps : IDIOTS). When you get in touch with them they dont reply till a week later when they just say " please do several more BT Speedtests" - Eh NO! I to am sick and tired of them and the service is extreamly poor seen as though i am paying £45month for Bussiness Premier Upto 8MB. There excuses are just pathetic. I wouldn't mind if they just told us the truth about what is going on and who is to blame BUT THEY DON'T!!!!

I have been having download speeds varying from zero to 1kb/s for 16-18 hours every day since my last billing date on 12th May. Many excuses from F9 until they admitted last Friday it is a 'management' restriction for no reason they could tell me, was promised a fix last night still waiting. Quicker to plug my dial up in than use F9 2meg. Will be glad when my annual contract is over.

As a matter of interest what was your old ISP.

Also if you'd care to share it why did you leave? (I'm looking for a new one as it happens).

I've learnt over night my old ISP held off form the upgrades and chose to do it manually, so no problems for them.

The ISP was Firefly, the reason I left was simply cost, it would have been a lot more expensive to upgrade to Broadband from Dialup with them, rather them move to another ISP, now however having done the upgrade, its no problem to migrate back to them Smiley
