Cannot run a BT Speedtest....

Hi, having connection issues (480kbps)

Tried to run a BT speedtest and get an error

"Only TAP1 tests are enabled.
Please login as tap1 user.

Please wait while you are redirected"

On the redirect page, it says you must be coming from this number...

Can anyone help?!?

You have to logon to the speedtester while still logged in to your PlusNet account.

You have to enter your phone number, then your PlusNet login name. If it's working, first you see a screen giving your RTAS profile, then the next gives BRAS, sync speed and throughput.

I've only once been able to do a speed test using the new (now default) BT speedtester in the evening. Between 6 and 7 am you can usually connect.

The old tester is, I think, still there. You have to use the IP address to use it. I forget the IP address, but it's the one that ends .42, not .142.

I was logging in via the speedtest ADSL username, all good now!
