Thanks, I might since I'm going to have to spend a small fortune getting out of this scam anyway.

I believe (though someone correct me if I'm wrong) that PlusNet don't take cancellations via phone. Has to be done via a ticket - Well I am sure that is the case with migrations and MAC codes anyway.

From what people are saying (though personally I've not used support for a while), you might be out-of-contract by the time you get a response Cheesy

Yeah, I'm in the middle of that route, might take years.

Yup - it has to be in writing, ie: by ticket or snailmail.

I'm seriously considering going round there and - trust me - they don't want me making a trip from Glasgow especially to see them.

Anyone know if you call the expensive number do they just stick you on hold
and pocket the cash or does it just ring for ages?

Weighing up the cost is a bit tricky, I can keep calling them back after it rings off for free, but if they stick me on hold to squeeze money out then I might spend a fortune listening to elton john all bloody day..

Not sure, but I think under the premium rate guidelines set by ICSTIS, that when operating a premium rate number companies are not allowed (no idea if that is statutory) to connect your call and leave you on hold before answering, hence pocketing your cash.

I'd imagine you'd have to put up with a lot of ringing rather than listen to Elton John Smiley

The only time I ever called the 0906 number, it was answered immediately and I was NOT put on-hold. Other folks' mileage may vary though.

Hi

The premium rate number will ring until answered, no holding, no Elton John. Smiley

That said, I hope we can sort your issues now anyway.
