CCGI and DNS Question

Hi all

I have a domain on the main HTML web servers of
www.straightliners.co.uk

I also have a forum on ccgi.straightliners.force9.co.uk

Is it possible to point a sub domain DNS record of community.straightliners.co.uk to the ccgi.straightliners.force9.co.uk CGI space?

Thanks in advance

Andy

CCGI and DNS Question

Unfortunately, due to the DNS system that we have in place, its only possible to point two subdomains to the ccgi server, these are ccgi. www. Its also possible to point just the domain to the ccgi server, so in this case straightliners.co.uk
N/A

Cheers

Thanks for the prompt reply Cheesy

Looking at this then, that really means that i have to put my entire site on the CGI server and repoint my domin, which I reallly didn't want to do. How much space / traffic are we allowed on the CGI server? And how hard is it to cross reference the old HTML type domain back from the CGI space?

Cheers

CCGI and DNS Question

How much space you have depends on which account type you are on. But everything comes under the same space allocation. So if you're on Premier then you've got 250MB to use as you wish.

As for referencing between the two, its just a case of entering it into your code in just the same way as you would with any other link.
