Browsing tonight???

Is anyone else experiencing the usual issues tonight. HTTP is laggy at best. Tried streaming a movie trailer, impossible!!!

Tried 2 different gateways as well, same issue on PTE-AG1 and PTN-AG2

This is really enough now, when I cant even browse properly. I have given up with the speedtesters, as they give me speeds tonight of sub 500kbps. Not even tried the BT speedtester as its next to useless to get on at these times.

All I can say is utter rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm on ptn-ag1 and it seems fine. Any chance you can try and get on that and give things a whirl?

Could this have been related to this:

01/12/2006 @ 17:27 Broadband Platform Hardware Failure (3813Cool - RESOLVED
We are pleased to report that our engineers have replaced the faulty card in PTE-AG2 and service has been restored.

Customers who connected to this gateway following the card failure may still be experiencing a degradation in performance. We advise that these customers disconnect and reconnect in order to be assigned the correct QoS profile.

01/12/2006 @ 17:00 Broadband Platform Hardware Failure - NEW (3813Cool
At 16:30 this afternoon, a card in PTE-AG2 that assists in the traffic management of the platform has failed. Customers effected will be experiencing worse than usual performance of their ADSL connection. An engineer is on site with a spare card and is working on resolving the issue. We expect there to be more information within the next 45 minutes.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Yep

thought that as well, things do appear a little better this evening, streaming is 100% better, and browsing also good.

Looking OK for a MSR of 4000kbps. Hopefully sync should increase very soon, as I have been syncing at 6018 for the last 3 days with not one drop.

The posting made ion service status from Bob gives some hope, although I for one will wait and see, although I do hope that it is the start of a move back to how Plus used to be, and this improvement today, is not just a one off event.

Browsing tonight???

looks like you've broken it :-)

"The database is currently unavailable"

maybe it's bowlled over by the speed you achieved on a pn connection and it's tring to come to terms with it.

OR

Pn have realised that we're using this speedtest to much and are trying to curtail our use of it.

Conspiracy theories.....

Mines still high
