BT Planned Engineering Work at 4000 exchanges

I have read on various other ISP's sites that BT started work on 29th January upgrading DSLAMs. The work is scheduled between 00:01 and 06:00 each night for 8 weeks and will result in a downtime of approximately 30 minutes for each DSLAM. There is a schedule available but I have not yet seen it on the Plusnet portal. Can Plusnet please publish it somewhere obvious so that customers can see when they will be affected?

BT tend to do these rounds of maintenance works every few months, but I'll see what I can find out.

Entanet (a good ISP) have the details available here:

They evidently want to keep their customers informed.

BT Planned Engineering Work at 4000 exchanges

Before I posted, I did a quick google to see if I could find a link to post to a list provided by Plusnet's parent company BT.

But I couldn't find one, only lists provided by other ISP's!!! Sad

Don't forget that the maintenance will be done by Openreach, who carry out work for BT Wholesale.

Plusnet's parent company is BT Retail - who are seperate to BTw.

/me still wonders why other ISP's publish the info but not PN though... :?:

We're actually looking at doing so. But not before we get further information from BT regarding this work.

We think that this method is better than merely saying "BT are doing some work" Wink
