These are currently all handled by one person within the call centre and due to the recent publicity he has been somewhat inundated with them. So at the moment the activation of the trial on your account is taking a little bit longer than normally, but he's getting them don as swiftly as possible.

I beleive all requests are actioned on a weekly basis and not at the time they are requested - i.e. he activates all requests received on one day in the week.

Hi, Does the Supplied Plusnet USB Modem work with BBC Multicast (Looks like a BT Voyager Version)

All USB modems do, its only certain routers (actually the majority) that don't due to the router software not supporting IGMP.

See the PUG page here for more info on what does/doesnot work.

@lank111

Unless I'm very much mistaken you've been waiting 6 days like me-- it just seems like 8 days! Wink

And I may be wrong, but I suspect that getting access to BBC TV and radio via multicast won't actually change your life all that much.

And I thought mine was the only house with only one TV
When it's working, you should find the quality acceptable at any rate. Hope you enjoy it.

Well, we have three
one small TV
one big TV (Broken as the rain has dripped down the areial cable)
and a small bedroom TV with a badly damaged tube (Thanks to me placing a speaker nr it!)

My mrs is always watching her stuff on tele while im on the net or working on my motorbike.

So with the multicast service, i can watch on my laptop (while fixin my bike) or my workstation!
Or at work ova a RDC (remote desktop connection)

Now can you see why i want this service so much!

Hi guys,

Thanks for your patience on this one. I should have emails out to you by early next week (likely to be Tuesday) confirming activation.

Kind Regards,
