BB+ was slow last night

My BB+ was very slow last night 9pm ish until I changed gateways then back to normal...

14/03/07 21:33 2394.90 Kbps After changed Gateway.
14/03/07 21:01 113.86 Kbps
14/03/07 20:59 157.88 Kbps
14/03/07 20:55 185.95 Kbps
14/03/07 20:54 141.00 Kbps

I tried to do a BT test but it kept coming up with system error...too slow I guess.

I thought the gateways were supposed to balance themselves out, seems a pain if we have to keep swapping gateways, which is a hit & miss affair, to get a faster connection?

This was still probably a knock-on effect from the previous night, the gateways should be balancing out now and speeds across them should hopefully be similar.

Yeah, we're still seeing some imbalance with 5k less users being connected on PTE-AG2 than we do on the other 3, with THN-AG1 still be a little on the low side.

Presumably thee is also an imbalance with the type of users. People with routers that stay permanently connected will not be getting on to the under utilised gateways and they will be mainly populated with modem type users who may well have different usage patterns.

I wonder if its possible to write a script to tell my DG834G to disconnect, then reconnect every day or so?

I considered adding a timer switch to power off the router for 15mins every 24hrs, but the regular power cycling doesn't do the router hardware any good.

Any suggestions?
