BB constantly drops connection

Had my line activated today. BT was here this morning and removed the DACS from my line. Tested the line and told me it would hold a 2mb connection.

Excellent i thought. As every test beforehand stated i would get 1mb max.

I haven't recieved my startup pack yet but have an old Sagem DSL modem.

Connects ok but it drops every 5 mins. Sometimes within 10 secs of reconnecting.

Thing is even my Dialup account is now useless. Pre-DACS i could only connect at 28k but it was stable. Now my modem connects at 46k but is constanly timing out and hanging.

Was the BT engineer talking rubbish about holding a 2mb line? Should i downgrade to 1mb?
If i do downgrade i heard there's a £15 charge? And a huge wait!!?

I'm sick of all this.

What can i do?

Cheers

PS my bb premier account droppes 4 times whilst writing this.

I'd guess it's sorted then.
I had the same thing when I upgraded speed - about three hours of chaos and dropping line, then stabilised and it's been fine ever since.
Must be something to do with the way the activate it.

Spoke too soon.

Connection today has been awful.
Line dropped a few times overnight and this morning.
Now (the same time as yesterday) it's dropping constantly again!!
I'm back on dialup again which is costing me a fortune.

Wish i never moved house now.

You best get used to it because it happens all the time. It's goes great for a few weeks then bag you get a few days where it constantly drops.

Could be a BT problem or could be a PN problem or could be down to your own equipment.

You'll probably never find out and no one is going to admit to a problem anyway.

Sync problems are never to do with plusnet. It is either to do with BT, work through the following tutorials then post back.
