Your very lucky...I have never had those speeds(during off peak or peak) and my router says 8128 down and 448 up and PN stable page says 7000...Most I have had was around 3000 and that was about 3am

715+KB/s down
46.5KB/s up
Cheesy

If you speed takes a drastic nose dive as soon as you hit peak time it sounds like you might have gone over your monthly usage allowance?

I am getting half decent speeds myself at the moment but it's not even the real peak hours yet' Let's see what happens between 6pm and 10pm. In my expierences over the last week or so on MAx DSL the speeds usually drop by about 50%.

What does a BT speedtest show?

Traffic is prioritised 24*7, PN make no secret of that but just how much of it is downto this prioritisation can only be highlighted by BT speedtests from your end.

What results are you getting when connecting direct to BT and running their speed test?

antrobus6 Is having real problems. Please see his other posts.

It would make it easier for us to help you if you kept to one thread otherwise we will just repeat ourselves.

Well I'm getting horrendous speeds tonight. But that's probably due to my exchange having no bandwidth Sad Curses to living in Southampton! Cheesy

One of the many things you find out when you have problems...Never needed to before Max I suppose..

Are PN restricting speed at peak times...

well then what the hell is going on just got this result

http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/results.php?t=1147887812&v=47699

yet that real time exchange checker reveals that Available bandwidth (Mbps) 100-110 on each DSLAMS in my exchange,
and theres 4 DSLAMS in my exchange

So.....

If theres bandwidth free

Why the result from the speed test HuhHuhHuhHuh?
