hi np

one thing to note i see you on ag1 while im on ag3 so if someone also on ag3 could do a tracert you might get a better comparision..

you could try a reboot of your router/modem - that may well connect you to a different pipe and sort your issue. Obv if it's the pipe that's at fault PN should be fixing it - might be worth raising a ticket if one pipe is causing issues.

Saying that, here's my trace

Though I am currently grabbing the SuSE 10.0 OSS DVD, which is eating approx 237kB/s, so I can't really grumble!

hi
lokkig at yours you on ag2 thats the one i find tend to give the worse pings, i read somewhere about problems with a 622mb pipe connecting to a 155mb pipe, which i think is what happens on ag2..

Not noticed anything odd here on Juniper 1 (other than loads of exchange ATM congestion reported by my router).

All the 155 pipes were replaced in February with 622's and the redbacks were given "an early retirement".

Anyone else getting bad pings

Thanks everyone Wink

Well whatever it was it cleared itself and pings are back to normal between 12 and 18 Smiley I guess it could have been contention on the exchange but as I am on 20:1 I doubt it so will hit the router with a 10LB sledge hammer next time maybe that will fix it
