And I thought 56k was slow.

Is there any reason why my connection would be going at around the 28.8kbps mark? Webmail is a joke. I can't even last long enough to log in before I lose sync and disconnect. What are you doing to my line PN?

The following things don't help, so don't suggest them Cheesy

  • Reboot router
  • Disconnect/reconnect
  • Unplug router from mains

It's taken four goes to get the ADSLGuide speed test up, let alone started. Even then, this is the output:

Do not use your connection until the test has finished.
Starting speed test...

** An error has occurred while testing **
A connection error occurred while testing. Please try again later.

Speed test stopped.

I'd just like 2Mbps speeds back, not 2Kbps.

Plug router into master socket, report attenuation and snr figures, along with sync speeds. If you can report RS/FEC counters too, that would be a bonus.

Hi there.

The loss of synch would indicate a local issue, such as your internal wiring or filters, or a problem with your line or connection to the exchange, but certainly an issue external to PlusNet.

As squidgey says, try plugging into the master socket and report the stats if posssible.

Hi there,

The stats are normally found in the router. The speeds you can get from a speed test.

However, if you lose synch, then we would need to perform a line test and pass to our supplier if required.

Can you please run through the Fault Checker, we will investigate for you.
