ADSL Down

Come on PlusNet I reported this fault to you at about 08:00 this morning and I am still having to use my old dialup to connect.
You seem to have raised a ticket 6256578 internaly for this fault but there seems to be no action?
My router is switched of at the moment and I will leave it like this for a while before trying again in the hope that you will have it sorted?

Hi,

Your ticket has been escalated to the correct department for actioning and will be responded to as soon as we can. Please also be aware of our recent Service status posting regarding a problem with the ADSL network reported to us by BT, this could well be the cause of the problem you are experiencing.

Kind Regards,
Rob

Thanks Robert

It is very likely that this is the cause of my problem then. But at the time I reported it there was nothing shown on the service status.
Looks like I will have to wait till BT clear there problem and see if my service comes back up?

Do you know which exchanges are affected? I am on 01706 Heywood which is a satelite off Rochdale Exchange.

Hi,

The latest info we have from BT states that 203 exchanges are affected although we have not been given a list of the exchanges in question unfortunately. Apologies for the lack of details, we're doing what we can to get more information on this.

RE: ADSL Down

Hi!

There doesn't seem to be any problems here (Lichfield, Staffordshire). Not much help I know but I thought it might help Plusnet (and BT) determine which exchanges are affected.

RE: ADSL Down

I'm just about to make another service status update - It looks like this is going to be an overnighter :-(

Back up and running now. Just tried it at about 23:45 It may have been back earlier but I have been out until now.
Just tried to close the ticket that you raised this morning but the system won't allow me to do that.
Looks like Plusnet will have to do that.
Anyway thanks for the updates on the Sevice Status. It's always very reassuring when we are kept informed.

Oh by the way I think the anounced time for you next update looks a bit suspect?
I think you have the date wrong and really mean the 11th.
Cheers

RE: ADSL Down

Hi John - That was my fault, although I really thought that the developers who wrote this would have stopped that from happening.

I have given them a suitable slap and will be more careful in the future!
