ADSL Connectivity Issues - update

Dear Customers,

We are pleased to announce that we have now successfully migrated all
our 'plusdsl.net' customers to our new Redback managed ADSL platform.
This work was announced last week, and while originally being planned
for Wednesday, we were able to beat this target as a result of hard work
by our Network team over the weekend.

If you are a user with @plusdsl.net in your ADSL login name, you should
find that any problems relating to speed previously will be improved
once you have disconnected and reconnected your ADSL equipment.
Customers on other realms should also see an improvement to their
service as a result of this change.

Our Network Operations Centre has tested the connection and will
continue to monitor the situation closely throughout the evening. We
would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for
their co-operation during this work and once again re-state our aim to
provide the most stable and responsive ADSL connection in the UK.

With Regards,

Gary Hough

RE: ADSL Connectivity Issues - update

I'm happy for you, but I think you've got my connection. Can I have it back please.

I'm writing this on a 56K modem, because I can't even connect to anything via ADSL, since the plusdl.net was migrated over, great.

Please Plusnet, employ some competent engineers, I think this current lot are pants.

RE: ADSL Connectivity Issues - update

Further to my previous post.

The new termination equipment I referred to in my previous post is in
actual fact (a Redback SMS10000) this is essentially a service
management platform for DSL and is designed to support over 30,000 DSL
subscribers, concurrently, and is carrier class in design (meaning that
it has no single point of failure).

The entire Plusdsl.net DSL customer base have now been migrated onto the
new platform which means we are now in a position where all of our DSL
circuits (which transport data from DSL customer to our network) is well
below capacity.

Again I would like to re-iterate that we are committed to providing the
fastest, reliable and feature rich service to all of our customers.
