A Thank you ,, dont faint

I'd like to say thanks ,, last night my connection was abrutly cut..
sync gone everything.. 5 mins later all back up and a 2meg line now Smiley.. nice

Puzzle bit - my wife has her own line ,, same exchange and everythign, only about 1 metre away from my line,, but she got 4 megs Sad .... grrrrrr

never mind 2meg is way better than 1 ..

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear you've got Max. Just a thought could the difference in speeds be caused by your modem/router(s) or other devices connected to the line? Worth a try to see if your wife's router syncs and faster than your's.

If not then it's likely that your line either takes a different route back to the exchange (can do if the lines were installed at different times) or that the quality of the copper isn't as good.

ok , i swopped my wifes router for mine,, now it says i have a 8 meg connection and 605kb upload ,,, however when performing a speedtest from F9 or another outside source it says i am only getting a 2meg download speed.. any idea's comments.
