4mb won't work?

I'm currently on 2mb premier. I tried to upgrade to 4mb and I was told that my line would not support it. However I'm sure that my exchange is all upgraded for ADSL2 already (I live in central London) so why is PlusNet telling me that.

Ofcourse I don't want to be paying extra for something I can't get. Is there a way to check that I can get 4mb?

just because your exchange is capable doesnt mean you can get it,
it all depends on line conditions distance from exchange ect

4mb won't work?

Hi,

You can check if we are able to offer a faster speed in your area at

http://www.plus.net/8mb/8mb_content.shtml

At the moment it will only list the DSLMax exchanges that have been enabled so far but will be expanded to include the LLU exchanges unbundled by our wholesale partners as the trials progress.

Thanks for the links. It's a shame, I can only get 2mb ADSL max for now. I live under a mile away from the BT tower which quite mystifies me as to why I can't get 8mb yet :?
