The addition of the segment seems to have been the cause.

Thanks for pre-warning us plusnet ! Evil

17:30 downtime

This certainly shouldn't be the case. As the segement was brought online during the day, its just that the announcement wasn't made until later on.

Was this a loss of synch, or just an authentication failure that you experienced?

I had a disconnection too. No loss of sync though.

Yes when was the segment brought online? 5.30pm?

It was just a disconnection as usual. No loss of sync. This is the 3rd or 4th time it's happened with others reporting the same thing at the sametime, that has not had any resolution or explanation from Plusnet.

Maybe the LCP echo timeout fix hasn't been completely resolved?

17:30 downtime

The segment was brought online shortly before 4pm, though as I've said, the announcement wasn't made untill shortly after 6pm, due to a meeting.

If you're having a problem that is occuring frequently, then I would suggest raising a ticket to ensure that there is nothing on our side causing it. As the problems that we had with Netgear routers was resolved.

No it's not happening frequently. It's happened 4 times since the LCP timeout issue was resolved.

On each occasion you've had no idea why it has had happened alledgely.

It had nothing to do with Netgears IIRC, it was just more evident on that router make, as other ppl with different routers had the same issue.
