10 days for the router?

I am confused regarding the 10 days resetting required when maxdsl is enabled,

being energy conscious I never leave my PC on if not using it but does it just require the modem to be on during the day or does it need the PC on as well ?

All BT require is that your equipment synchs up three times during this period. So if you turn your equipment off when you're not using it, but use it at least three times, then it should be okay.

10 days for the router?

What happens if someone is away for a fortnight's holiday when the upgrade happens?

I believe that if the BT systems don't detect three different synch instances then they extend the time frame until three instances of synch are detected.
