link to Plusnet community terms and conditions please

I just joined. I skimmed through Plusnet community terms and conditions.

I noticed some nonsense, some unfair legalese. I wanted to post a request for them to be reviewed properly, but I think it would help if I quote the exact clauses I saw. Now I've verified my account, I can't find the T&C for the community.

Help, other threads, and the footers ("legal") don't obviously say where the community terms and conditions are.  I've had no luck with my favourite search engine with  "community.plus.net T&C terms and conditions"

Can someone say how to see the Plusnet community terms and conditions? does anyone know a link?

Re: link to Plusnet community terms and conditions please

If you log out of community then select Registration from the front page it will take you to https://community.plus.net/t5/user/userregistrationpage. The Community T&Cs are there.

To save you the bother here they are (without the automatic numbering):

We know it’s boring but so that the Plusnet Community remains a friendly, safe and helpful place for all its users, we have to set out some rules about how it can be used.

Before you start using the Community, please have a quick read through these terms which set out these rules. We’ve tried to keep these terms as short as possible and avoid annoying legal jargon so you can get on with using and contributing to the Community.

  1. When these terms apply
    1. These terms apply whether you’re posting, monitoring or just using the Community and it doesn’t matter how you do this (e.g. they apply if you use a laptop, a desktop or a mobile device). By using the Community you agree to be bound by these terms.
    2. If you take services from us, our full residential or business terms and conditions apply in respect of the use of those services instead of these terms.
    3. If you take services from us, our full residential or business terms and conditions apply in respect of the use of those services instead of these terms.
  2. Who can use the community
    1. The Community is available for you (whether you’re one of our customers or not) to use for your own personal use, which may include posting your views or responding to the views of other users of the Community. You can’t use the Community for business or commercial purposes.
    2. You must be sixteen years of age or over in order to use the Community.
  3. Your account
    1. When you use the Community you need to set up an account with your own username and password.
    2. In respect of your Community account, you agree to:
      1. keep all login details safe and secure and not to share your password with anyone;
      2. provide us with accurate and complete account details (and to keep these up to date);
      3. adhere to any relevant sections of the Forum Rules around avatar, signatures or other account settings; and
      4. be fully responsible for all use of your account and for any actions that take place using your account.
    3. Except for your username, signature, avatar, name (if you choose to provide them), the date you registered and last visited the Community, and the number of total messages posted which must be visible, you can choose how much of your account information can be viewed by other Community users or your friends by changing your privacy settings. To protect your privacy and security, we would recommend that you use a username and avatar that does not identify you personally and that your username is different to the one you use to access other Plusnet services.
  4. Ownership of content that we provide
    1. Content provided by Plusnet on the Community is protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable intellectual property rights.
    2. Content provided by us on the Community is owned by us or licensed to us by third parties.
    3. You must not, without our prior written consent, copy, publish, download, de-compile or modify our content or use any (or part) of our content, unless otherwise agreed in writing with us.
    4. You may download or print a copy of any part of our content to which you have properly gained access solely for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you keep all copyright, trademarks, logos or other proprietary notices intact. We reserve the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
  5. Content you post on the community
    1. We want to encourage you to upload content to the Community so that other users may access and benefit from it but:
      1. we need you to only do this when you’ve got all appropriate permissions to do so (for example you have the permission from anyone who has rights over or in the content);
      2. you are responsible for all content that you upload or post on the Community or communicate to other users through the Community; and
      3. you must comply with the content rules set out in paragraph 7 and our Acceptable Use Policy.
  6. Content rules
    1. When posting content (which includes posts and responses, other text, links, communications, software, images, sounds, data, or other information you provide) we ask you to be polite and considerate of other users and to generally follow our Forum Rules.
    2. You must not upload, post, or otherwise transmit any content that includes any of the following inappropriate content:

      2. spamming or "bombing" the Community or individual threads with repetitive or meaningless postings, (or other excessive posting or padding posts), chain letters, or pyramid schemes, polls or petitions;
      3. advertisements for other websites and services, promotions of products or services from other providers or other commercial solicitation or abuse of any company or product;
      4. material we believe is likely to be objectionable to other users (such as libellous, fraudulent, unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, obscene, profane, racist, sexist, abusive, offensive, threatening or hateful content);
      5. attacks (including "Flaming") against us or, another user or entity in such a way as to incite or perpetuate an argument or conflict; creating usernames to attack other users' identities;
      6. impersonating other individuals or falsely representing one's identity or qualifications or posts made under secondary user names or other aliases for the purpose of either endorsing or denigrating others;
      7. discussion of illegal activities or providing links to other websites containing such information;
      8. discussions that veer off topic, are unrelated to resolving the issue at hand, are repetitive or campaigning;
      9. posting or transmitting any information or software containing a virus, worm, Trojan horse, or other damaging or destructive component;
      10. links directing users to any information or content that, if posted on the Community would constitute a violation of the Forum Rules our Acceptable Use Policy or these terms; and
      11. content that has been banned by moderators or administrators.
    3. We may take action under paragraph 8 below if you carry out any of the activities described above.
    4. You and other Community users can report content they consider to be in breach of these rules via the ‘Report to Moderator’ button.

    2. If we reasonably believe that you have misused the Community (or any part of it) in any way, then we may terminate your account, remove your content, and/or suspend or terminate your access to the Community without notice. We’ll be under no obligation to reinstate your account.
    3. You agree to indemnify us (which means you’ll financially compensate us) and any affected third party against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that we may reasonably incur as a result of any misuse of the Community (or any part of it).
