Possible some kind of fault ? Maybe people checking to see if anyone else is having the same issues as them ?

Could have been a lot of people particularly interested in some post(ings) and who live in a different time zone.

Some also have free phones as well as no limit on amount of downloading, as well as all the opinions written above! Today so far it has a very long time to actually connect to anything .plus.net and an equal time to get a response. Has BT injected glue in the system or have the mods on the 5th gone sadly wrong? My line figures are only a bit down on normal so that is not likely to be the problem. Then it is not in the early hours of the morning either!!

So I'm either there, or in communication with the above, via SKYPE, email or phone.
And of course, keeping an eye on various Websites, News, Papers, Forums, both here & abroad.

Often they are search engines and/or bots. The old forum I used to run had around 200 active members, 2 or 3 online at any time and usually 3 or 4 search engines or bots trawling the site.
Oh and around 10 attempts per day from Indian, Chinese or Russian hackers to get fake accounts set up on the forum.
*Edit and maybe the hidden user is a Moderator or member of Plusnet staff who don't want to be seen visibly searching through the forums. On another forum I moderate, I always set my visibility as hidden or I'll get private messages left right and center.
