Unable to turn off notification of some topics

I have had for a few months problems where I am getting notifications for topics I was watching but even though I have unsubscribed from them I still get notifications. These topics don't appear in my profile 'topics' list either?

I wonder if those topics are ones on the 'beta' boards, as the status of watched topics will have been copied over when the last copy of the live boards was taken.
Any chance you could take a look at http://community.beta.plus.net/forum to see if thats the case.

This happened on the original board - one topic is the positini trial.

No my mistake - PN have removed public access to the Beta site whilst they try and test a few bits internally.
I guess if you are still receiving them at the minute it does seem to point to a problem.
Dunno if PN can have a look at your topic notifications on the Beta board in its current 'behind closed doors' state to see if the Postini topic is being watched by your account on there.

I've seen this problem on the live forums - a topic I'd posted in was sending out emails even though I'd disabled notifications for the topic.
I'm going to do some more experimenting.

I am still getting notified for 'squirrelmail' and 'postini trial' which are both NOT in my profile notifications.
Anyone from Plusnet actually going to reply?

Forward the notification to me as an attachment please... email address is the following with no spaces and a proper @ sign:
"c o g i l v i e AT plus . net"

Never got any more information, so can't really do much with it.

Ah well, I'll leave it a bit longer and see if anything is forthcoming.
If nothing in another week or so, I'll shift it out.

Not getting emails on these topics yet but would someone post a test on them and I shall check if this is notified to me?

It would be better if you tested on topics in this forum - I don't suggest that we artificially bump topics in one of the main forums.
If you try turning off notification of this topic and then send me a PM I'll add a reply.

Jelv  - these topics: Squirremail do you digg it  & Postini trial are the ones I am having problems with (not all) don't appear in my notification list hence the post here.
Someone has replied to the Squirelmail and I am still getting notified so the problem still exists Colin. 
Not getting the email but seeing it in the "Replies to your posts" list.

Ah - that changes things completely!
Notifications means that you will be specifically alerted when a post is made to a topic (or forum board) you are watching. You don't have to have posted to the topic to turn notification on (as you are aware there's a "Notify of Replies" link at the top of every topic).
Replies to your posts is totally independent of that - if you have posted in a topic and there are new posts it will appear in that list - irrespective of whether notification of that topic is on or off.
To confirm: If a topic you have posted in and which has notifications off gets a new reply you don't get an email? If that is the case everything is working as intended.

I don't believe that is the case. If I turn notification of 'Replies to posts' then that post shouldn't exist in my profile and therefore not be notified of it by email or in the 'Replies to your posts'link on the front page.
