Tripletags.com

A couple of times I have opened a thread from a forum list here (Chit Chat to be precise) and was met with a password request window with the following:
Quote
The server www.tripletags.com at  requires a username and password.
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).

A google search shows this to be something to do with gaming which I do not do.
I did a full scan with Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, SpyBot S & S and AVG with nothing untoward showing up.
I did find an entry in the registry with the word Tipletags.com. Having saved a copy of the registry I deleted it. I haven't had the password window return since but wondered whether anyone else has experienced this?
I found this which seems to suggest that someone may be hosting an image with Tripletags.com.
Any idea?
Please move this to another forum if this is not the best place Smiley

Re: Tripletags.com

It looks like it's a broken link, nothing malicious. It's been dealt with.

Re: Tripletags.com

Sorry about that I never saw this till last night and never thought anything of it, it never happened on a diff PC this afternoon so thought it was just one of them things, that was likely because my sig had been removed by then(Thanks for that appreciated). Not sure what is about just googling about it now but I guarantee its not malicious unless in some way TT has been hacked Undecided
It was stemming from my TT sig that has my trophies and games on and has run perfectly ok in this forum for a long time till now.
Anyway TT no more looking for another sig and again sorry for the inconveniance  Smiley

Re: Tripletags.com

Smiley i did have a smile on when i saw it was your ps3 sig causing the issue. didnt seem malicious probally just tripletags servers playing up and not letting the link access your sigs profile. i found a few others with the same problem on other forums
