In some instances when marking a post as spam manually by mods/admins, it lingers around in the unread post/thread page for a little while. It eventually drops off though it is quite strange that it would hang around in that area for a little bit. At least that once it is marked as spam, noone can access it and it does eventually dissapear after a little bit of time has passed.
The mods were talking about this on the reported thread.

Is it marked as spam while still being located in the General Chat board?
If so:
- Looking at the general Chat board index, that doesn't show the topic.
- It suggests a bug in the Unread Topics where it doesn't recognise that a topic only contains spam posts and therefore shouldn't be listed.
- While this bug exists the moderators should move spam topics to a hidden board

I do wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that that particular spam post had one legitimate reply which I can't find anywhere but maybe causes the issue we're seeing.

Try clicking the 1 to go to the first unread post in the topic.

This is what I am seeing in my Unread Posts list
Which is the reply and not the original spam message.

Okay... so a thread OP is the spam post, a user replies to that post, it gets flagged as spam BUT the legitimate users reply is still showing up in the unread post/thread page but noone can actually access it even though its clearly visible?
If this is the case, I will raise a support ticket with Lithium. They very well may tell me that it will be passed to their product developers as I personally think that this is a bug in the overall product and not something that only affects us.

It seems, though, that what I am seeing is different from jelv in his OP as it appears he is seeing the original spam message.

Mine is on Unread topics, not Unread Posts.
https://community.plus.net/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2395 also shows it but with no link.

Ok, no probs. I think there is enough information here to send a support case.
Email has been sent to Lithium support. I suspect that this is a product bug so may not get fixed right away and will be fixed as part of their software release cycle.
I will create a new reply here when I get some news.

Lithium have looked into this and have told me the following
If the users replied to the thread before the moderators marked it as spam they would still see it.
Is anyone still seeing any spam messages in the unread post/thread pages that received a reply from a legitimate user?

That seems an odd reply considering either the spam message or the reply can be seen depending on whether you have Unread Topics or Unread Posts selected yet cannot be edited but finally drops off the list after several days.
Are they suggesting it's a feature rather than a bug?
Interestingly 7up's reply still appears in his list of posts as being in General Chat but clicking on it brings up the original spam post. Can't find his reply anywhere

Thanks for confirming, I will go back to the engineer with that information which answers their question (is anyone still seeing the spam thread in the unread page).
Will update once I get some more information.
