Something that other forums have....

and PN's community forum apparently does not have, is a list of members. is there a reason for the lack, as on other sites I for one have found it useful.
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: Something that other forums have....

Not as long as some! I know one that has 22645 pages capable of holding up to 10 board names.
You don't need any opt in boxes: you don't click  on the link button, as in this http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/ example.

as on other sites I for one have found it useful.

Could you explain why you would find it useful please - I'm aware of the facility on other forums and have never had an issue with it not being available on here.

We do have a list.
You just can't see it.

I know that other forums do have this feature - but I for one have never found a positive use for it?
I would vote against making the feature available.

Re: Something that other forums have....

I believe that one of the main reasons why this shouldn't be available is that, unlike Digital Spy where the usernames are just that, a lot of posters on here use their Plusnet account name as a username and that certainly shouldn't be generally available as a list

@lucerne What information would you expect to see in this list?
Just Googled this thread title and inevitably it's at the top of the list.

i thought that would be censored my self
my feelin is this if its not all ready come across is that a list of are usernames may or maynot be grabed by some one for personal gain.
yeah maybe a slim chance of this happening an i maybe over reacting abit about it but i just dont see a resonable benifit for having a  list of 10,000 odd usernames  in conjuction with this small risk

Re: Something that other forums have....

If the list were to be unlocked it would have to be opt in to have your name appear on the list. I'd bet less than 1% of the members of these forums would do so. The whole thing a pretty pointless diversion of effort when there are plenty of other far more important issues to which we would like resources allocated by Plusnet!

Agreed (wot jelv said).
