Re: Site Errors (Slow pages, slow posting, connection reset, uploads failing)

I've been getting that error frequently and I'm sure it only started since 32 (now on 32.0.1 and still getting it). It's mainly happening when logged into Barclays Bank but does happen on a few other sites.

Re: Site Errors (Slow pages, slow posting, connection reset, uploads failing)

I'd guess that it is a change in Firefox's way of reporting errors. It sadly looks like we're regressing back to a stage when we'd get IE's "friendly errors" rather than the actual errors from either the server or the sockets running the connections.

Was this error given after hitting the back button?

No, I never hit the Back/Forward buttons when using online banking. It was a result of clicking to view the details of one of my accounts.

Was it going to a page that you'd already viewed in the session? Googling the error indicates that it's something to do with cached pages.

Re: Site Errors (Slow pages, slow posting, connection reset, uploads failing)

Quite possibly. I'll be logging in again later today so will try to make note of when (if) it happens and report back.
Edit: Logged in, looked at my main account, then switched to my mother's account which I have set to automatically open in another tab. Looked at her main account, switched back to mine and looked at the same account again. No problems arose.
I then left the main page open for a few minutes (probably no more than 4/5) then attempted to look at my main account again when I got the Connection reset (not the Document expired) error.
Upto now It has usually been around 10 minutes of inactivity before the connection timed but, of course, I would get a message from Barclays asking me if I want to log out with a countdown giving me the opportunity to remain logged in.

At 07:57 whilst trying to access Chitchat

As usual a quick inconvenient F5 refresh cleared the message

@ejs, are you still getting any of these spurious packets?

There has been no progress regarding the packets from port 44340 since my last comment about them.

Forum Errors

I've just had an error when browsing the forum:
Quote
Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

I had one yesterday and this one today.
This is the first time I have personally had this but I know others have.
Just thought I'd mention it.
