Re: Should PN upgrade to a new forum ??

As a point - you aren't posting attachments which is mainly where the problem occurs

Re: Should PN upgrade to a new forum ??

General use of the forum has become quite faster, I admit not using the attachment, as I do not usually use it, therefore, I can not compare to recent anomalies et al

Edit:
Last time I attached an image I had to use the workaround in opening up a new tab etc
this time the image attached, uploaded & refreshed in less than 30 seconds

Edit: 2
Using the quick edit still shows the Loading message towards the top of the page

Just tried an attached image and it worked in reasonable time!

I don't believe we've changed anything...

Ask again because something has definitely changed. I've just made three posts with attached images and all three worked first time and came back in 15-20 seconds.
Have the moderators seen a reduction in the number of duplicated posts?

Re: Should PN upgrade to a new forum ??

On Friday our Operations Team upgraded some of the software packages on the servers which may have helped.

Not one to temptate fate, however as it is 2 days in a row, are the servers now saying or is it

Re: Should PN upgrade to a new forum ??

I think I remember this engineering "Poke and Hope" approach to problem solving.  Rarely fixes the 'Root cause' but may make it hide for a while.
Joking aside guys, I really think you need to nail this problem before it becomes a major failure.  I know that it's often a frustrating task, but the satisfaction of finally killing the beast is also great.   I'm glad that I've got old for those long night shifts.

Re: Should PN upgrade to a new forum ??

The software package upgrades are separate to the loadbalancer maintenance that's still due to go ahead as far as I'm aware.
