Plusnet - Please overhaul the swear filter?

I started the thread weeks ago because I thought I really should be allowed to us the word cr.ap... And It was even green lighted by the mods. However it seems the Plusnet censor system is a mighty super tanker at sea and takes months to change direction, sadly it's a bit crappy (which apparently you can say unlike the more diminutive [Censored].

i was rather taken with billy connolly's alternatives to swearing - so as not to set a bad example to his kiddy-winks.

The careless practice of substituting Anglo Saxon terms with previously innocent and widely used words has it's pitfalls. The very man who gave us the headline "CHILE CON CARNAGE" after the earthquake in the S. American country of the same name, would be denied the opportunity to flex his punny bone to it's full extent in the event of a bloodbath trident attack by Neptune which would otherwise give rise to the powerful wordplay of "FORKING HELL".

It seems despite all the talk about changing things no bassa has done a forking thing about changing anything. What a load of borrix, two weeks have passed and carp is still banned. Is there ever going to be any progress on this?

We already removed a load of words from the censor, and reviews are ongoing.
Remember we are also trying to get sorted out ready for the changes to the forum layout tomorrow evening.
Once thats completed we'll have a little more time for other things like this. (It will also enable us to bring more Moderators online hopefully.)

Great to hear there is some progress, any chance of knowing what has been removed? I was hoping that the word I started this thread asking to be removed might be amongst them but I still cant say carp

I think Jelv that on this particular thread a lot of the Mods feel the same as the members, it has just been a lot of discussions on how modern usage has made some of the banned words should now be opened up, one of the highlighted problems is how to communicate the changes as even PM's  are censored,  There has been a lot of joviality from both sides of the Moderation fence, but I dont think hostility

Yup, and lets be honest, It it probably only matter of pasting a list. I am sure those involved kept a list of liberated words?
