Member for over 10 years, but no email sent to reset password.

I've had to create this account just to post here.  I have been a member for over 10 years, and now seem to have lost the ability to use the support forums thanks to this switch.  I tried to log in with my old details, no go as I was told that no member with that name/password combination exists.

I tried to reset my password via the link, yet no email has been sent (and yes, I've checked the spam folder).  I've tried this three or four times now, all with the same outcome.  No email and no link to allow me access to the support forums of the broadband company that I PAY.

So, how do I regain access with my original account if Plusnet can't even bother sorting out the migration process?

Message me with your email address and old forum username and I'll take a look.

The change was an exercise in futility.

I don't expect these forums will get used much, in the future.

Unfortunately it's an issue - we've worked really hard to get the migration right and it looks like it has for the majority. As Bob says, we'll get it sorted for you and also fix the root cause ASAP.

I'm sorry for the hassle.

I can't even make a simple signature work, let alone find posts I might be interested in. There is no way I would try to muck about with this on a mobile - so why change something that mostly worked?

Re: Member for over 10 years, but no email sent to reset password.

If sig's support HTML then it's easy as pie.....

 <p><img src="http://www.moiety.plus.com/newbie.gif"</img></p>
<p>Support via Land-Line <b>0800 432 0200</b></p>

If it doesn't support HTML then, it'll be a no image allowed sig (though I have seen images in sig's so I'm going to guess HTML does work......)

HTML does work. BBCode won't.

Re: Member for over 10 years, but no email sent to reset password.

You can use html in your signature that's no problem. Just so you are aware - Users have a height limit as a way to restrict signatures so you can't put in huge images or loads of content. You should be able to use plain html to make your signature a bit more personalised, use style tags on the containers to make it your own.

That was all a bit off topic so maybe we should create a new topic for signature suggestions and help with that going forward.

I hope @bobpullen is able to help OP out and restore their account.
