Last post...

Would it be possible to have a link to the last posting on each thread? Might be more useful than a link to the last poster's profile? It's a feature I tend to use a lot on other forums.

Re: Last post...

Teatime - like you I also use that feature, and I have just realised that SMF does indeed have it, albeit in a different place to phpBB: if you click on the 'new' icon next to a thread's title (a thread that has new posts in that is), then it'll take you to the first new post.

Re: Last post...

I was about to post asking for the same thing ... but clicking on "new" doesn't work for me; it just takes me to the top of the thread Sad

Re: Last post...

Is that a thread you have read before?
The link takes you to the first new post in the thread so new threads will take you to the first post, older threads you have read before takes yo to the first post after you last read the thread.
It does not however take you to the last post in the thread, unless that is the only new post in a thread you have read previously.

Re: Last post...

On the PUG SMF version there are icons at the very right hand side on the index page which take you to the last post (as well as having the New icon). I wonder why that feature has been removed from here?

Re: Last post...

I sometimes want to jump to the end to see if a topic has had an answer - but more usually I use the New button.
