Delete post option

The delete post option appears on the first post in a thread but it doesn't work - message is that you cannot delete posts in this forum.
I assume that one is not allowed to delete the originating post in a thread but in that case the delete option shouldn't appear.

Re: Delete post option

Still happening I see.
I wonder if it was intended that you could only delete the first post when there had been no replies?

Re: Delete post option

From what I can see, deleting your own posts which are not the first in a topic seems to work correctly.
I'm wondering if it is just a case that it's putting up the wrong error message (probably easier to fix than making it conditionally display the Delete icon).

Re: Delete post option

Can someone screenshot an entire thread (that they've started and subsequently posted in) please?
You can use something like Screen grab for Firefox.

Re: Delete post option

Not sure about this one - nothing actually goes wrong but it is confusing.
Could the error message say something about you cannot remove the starting post of a topic and if it really needs to be deleted please use the Report to Moderator link to request removal?
