Can we have a newbie section?

We've had a few new posters this week popping into the forum to say hello. Would it not be a good idea to have a designated section for this?
BTW welcome to the newbies and hope that you keep in touch on the forum.

Re: Can we have a newbie section?

That's the thing about this forum.....the whole board is newbie friendly. Cool
Some of the new members appear quite overcome with the welcome they receive, must be unusual I suppose. Wink Smiley

Re: Can we have a newbie section?

I think you're right.
Us old stagers who have been using forum's , newsgroups for years maybe don't appreicate what it like for relatively nebies
So maybe a welcome forum section would be a good idea

Re: Can we have a newbie section?

Hasn't something along these lines been suggested before specifically with a slant towards familiarising newbies with the forum rules.

Re: Can we have a newbie section?

If there is it would need to be at the top not hidden in General Chit Chat
I wonder is a sub forum of Your Feedback would be a good idea.

Think an introduce yourself thread might be a good idea.

Re: Can we have a newbie section?

Didn't seem that popular! A lot of people would be very reluctant to dive into a bit of an "unknown" and give out personal infomation, especially these days.
