Can't upload a profile picture

My profile picture won't upload. I've selected  'I will upload my own picture', then chosen my file- the name comes up, but when I click 'change profile' nothing happens. It's 140KB  jpeg, and works on other sites. I've tried Explorer and Safari but it's the same with both. Any ideas?

Thanks for link...I reduced the size to 34KB and it works okay!
