Quote from: Steve I don't agree with certain parts of that quote A Fox Is Evil. But I'm not going to point out which bits because I cant be bothered this evening.
It's a direct quote from the Guardian. You might not like bits of that quote, but a disagreement with a quote would be absurd.
Note the bit about
Wonder why.
Quote We've been getting a few letters about Plusnet in recent weeks, and none have been particularly positive.
"In The Beginning Was The Word, And The Word Was Aardvark."

@A Fox Is Evil, I gather that because I don't agree with that quote from a rag that I must be wrong? Must I believe everything then In quotes?
@okrzynska are you telling me you believe EVERYTHING In that guardian quote?

Quote from: Spider Yes as a simple answer. Although the so many is more a small minority and national newspapers are renown for their accuracy of reporting
That maybe but they don't just pluck ideas for stories out of thin air. Those stories come from somewhere, just like the rumors the spread about Gordon Brown taking over from Tony Blair which were denied. Look what happened. Wrong again I suppose eh?
Then there were rumors about that Libyan terrorist being released... again all denied.. days later what happened?
My point is, when the newspapers catch on to something its usually because there is some truth in it. Unless of course its the sun or daily star

Quote from: pierre_pierre just looked through the Home Phone, accounts and billing threads and this one, lots of garbage but only five people - yes just five did not read the e-mail and had a problem
Had the email been written in simple clear and concise language with no marketing splurge then there might not even be any complaints about it at all. PN are a communications company and I find it appalling that they do not know how to communicate clearly without confusing people which as I've pointed out many times is what has happened here.

The important information is mixed up with a load of marketing rubbish.
Can a PN rep please tell me what paragraph two, has to do with Important information about your Plusnet service.?
"Did you know you could save money by upgrading to our new Talk Anytime call plan?
You'll still get inclusive calls to UK landlines and 0845 / 0870 numbers, but you'll
be able to chat any time of the day without worrying about call charges. What's more
you' ll get 25% off our international call rates to the EU, the USA and Canada, as
well as Australia and New Zealand. Our new Talk Anytime plan will be just £3.50 a
month from January, but we're offering it to you FREE for 3 months.^"
The answer is absolutely nothing!!!
There should be no marketing in an email about account changes, and if there has to be it should be at the bottom of the email, after all the important information not before!!
But i suppose this is what happens when you let marketing write emails about account changes, they take the opportunity to advertise first, and give you the important information last.
Emails like this should come from accounts , as already pointed out in this thread.
Regards
Mike
