Plusnet YouView TV now available to FTTC customers at just £5 a month

Good morning all,
I am pleased to announce the launch of Plusnet TV is now live to existing customers!
Some of the more eagle eyed members of this forum may have noticed the new addition of the Plusnet TV board. Mainly myself and CParr will be bobbing into this forum to help with discussion and support. I am working on an in depth FAQ, that I will make sure will be stickied to the top of the TV board indefinitely.
Call now on 0800 0113 217 for more details, and to order YouView TV from Plusnet today.

Why the need for an aerial, if  PNTV is internet driven?

It's based on Freeview, with IPTV addons. 90% is from Freeview.

Thanks! Were I even on fibre, it would be a no-no for me, as to get Freeview I'd need spend £300 for an aerial. My local transmitter is a relay, and the main one is blocked by a  close hill.

Re: Plusnet YouView TV now available to FTTC customers at just £5 a month

Only just seen this and thought it might be worth looking at but if it needs Freeview I'm in a similar situation as lucerne. When we first moved we could only get a few Freeview channels from the local relay transmitter and they dropped out quite badly at times. We were advised by the aerial man to get Freesat instead (there was already a satellite dish on the house) as even the best sort of aerial on top of a 20ft pole would not have helped much.

what does the "HD Channel Pack" give you?
there is nothing on the site that specifically says what channels it gives you in HD.

Re: Plusnet YouView TV now available to FTTC customers at just £5 a month

Hi. Following Plusnet announcement of supplying Youview boxes to customers are you aware of all the problems with Youview and Netflix (see posts on Youview community about buffering) ?
I think you should check this out before you tell all your customers that they can watch Netflix via Youview. I have a Youview + box and can't watch a full film without it stopping 4 or 5 times, many people are having the same problem and Youview can't supply an answer. As a Plusnet customer with a can you when I will be able to watch a full film via Plusnet/Youview/Netflix without it constantly stopping?
