Thanks for your responses.  Could you tell me how to access the BT speed test which tells you the IP profile?  The new one I'm using doesn't include that info.

After the first test completes click Further Diagnostics at the bottom

Re: Peak time latency spikes

@ rookey After many many years of painfully slow ADSL (1-2 meg), I got onto the PN FTTP trial and my speeds increased x80 overnight Smiley So am happy to do my bit to help! (Also they are the first ISP I've ever dealt with where you can actually talk to people who understand issues, rather than just reading things off a monitor!)
@ mike0381 try here http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ then click on Further Diagnostics

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Well thanks for that guys.
The BT speed tester shows my IP profile is 3mb!!!!  I've not had problems with my line for weeks now, and I can see no reason why my profile was lowered.
Any thoughts?

Re: Peak time latency spikes

On 20CN it just takes one very brief connection at a low speed to mess things up for days!
Leave it connected and if the IP Profile hasn't gone back to normal tomorrow post and ask for a SNR reset.

Web pages are a little stuttery, speedtest was a bit laggy a couple of times. Just tried Iplayer, it was a bit blocky but maybe that was the tv episode..

Your line looks fine.  Can you hop gateway again and try to stick on PCL?
