@walterhornby
You need to go to TBB and delete your old monitor and create a new one.You will need to do that every time your IP address changes ie. everytime you Gateway Hop or lose connection.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

OK, will do, and thanks. Must start reading things a bit more than I do, as the site does mention problems with dynamic IP's.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

It isn't only affecting Fibre, although in some cases some Fibre users are showing the largest degradation. Have you tried Gateway hopping?

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Come peak time again the slow speeds and increased pings ( was getting 50 - 58 ping,  6.3mb)  Sad , this is happening almost every night over the last few weeks for me, the only way i do not get this is by not using my connection at peak times. So time to gateway hop
gateway ptn-ag01

Then on to ptw-ag02

Then on to gateway pcl-ag07 , speed is getting better , ping is getting higher

Then on to gateway pcl-ag08 lower speed and lower ping

Then on to gateway pcl-ag02

Then on to  gateway ptn-ag03

Then back to gateway pcl-ag08

After 15 mins from been off the above gateway , it seems to be working ok for the moment .
Six gateway hops to six different gateways and all not performing as they should.
PN i hope this is sorted soon, this is becoming more and more frustrating.

Mike

Re: Peak time latency spikes

We are getting slow speeds in peak times too. The actual internet speed is fine, but the web browsing speed is really slow (it comes and goes). We have tried gateway swapping multiple times but it doesn't help.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Anyone got a TBB monitor who is on pcl-ag01? It looks as though something may have kicked off just before 5.00pm for about 2 hours - on a 21CN connection anyway.

pcl-ag03, no latency issues at all BUT:

(Used to 50Mb/s+)

Re: Peak time latency spikes

I'm on pcl-ag03 tonight, which has so far been ok:

Jitter a bit off, but acceptable:

TBB graph shows some nasty spikes and packet losshowever - as I seem to lose sync overnight, I have posted a snapshot rather than a live graph:

Re: Peak time latency spikes

After 2 days of no problems a drop in speed tonight, gateway hoping not much help tried 4 different ones, could do this all night but speed results the same. Speed all over the place from my full 52Mb down to under 2Mb, yoyoing all evening between high & low speeds. Test on speedping.net shows A grade line even at low speeds . I've had no problems until about a week ago I hope someone can get this sorted asap as when we need the bandwidth in the evening it's not there.
Now ended up on pcl-ag01 which seems OK at 11pm but by this time each night  the problem is normally over, lets see what tomorrow brings.
Update
6.25am on 4.3.13 speed tests all 51 to 52Mb everything seems to be running at max, so my problem seems to happen between 4pm and 11pm and speed slows down for a 2 hours slot drops as low as 2Mb  still on gateway pcl-ag01. Lets seem what tonight brings.
