WANTED: Cheap thin client terminal...

Hi guys
I'm after a cheapish thin client so that I can put the noisy PC in the cupboard under the stairs and access it quietly.
All offers appreciated..
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Access it from where/what - another PC or something else?
Are we talking windows or *nix either for the noisy PC or what you want to access it from.
tightvnc will actually work on either windows or *nix (and between either)

Re: WANTED: Cheap thin client terminal...

Basically I want a windows powered thin client - fanless which can connect via RD/VNC etc to the main machine which I intend to hide under the stairs due to the noise.
Also considering another one for upstairs too...

Re: WANTED: Cheap thin client terminal...

Personally I would not use VNC, its great for remote support, and showing people how to do things. But IMHO you always feel some how detached from the PC that you are working on.
For terminal services applications I would recommend RDC (NX if its Linux)  much more native feel.
An `out of the box` suggestion for your thin client would be an Asus EEE running rdesktop software. With an external screen and keyboard, of course.
OK, its not running Windows, and its not cheap starting @ £220 (Do get the 2G model), but you have a mini laptop too for when you are away from home.
